Why People Don’t Go to Church

You’d expect a very strong correlation between whether people hold Christian beliefs and whether they’re involved in church. But we noted a range of other things too, such as the sort of attitudes that people have towards church and churchgoing.

The Altar of Hollywood’s Religion

Hollywood has caught religion in a bad way. It isn’t Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Jewish or Muslim; it’s a religion all of its own.

The Spirit of Giving

Unlike material gifts that can wear out, go out of style or simply be set aside and forgotten, gifts of the spirit have a transforming power and linger long. They soften callused hearts, restore broken dreams, renew long-abandoned hope, and infuse life with vitality.

Infants With Soul

The ultrasound revelation was stunning and unexpected. Doctors warned that the baby would probably die at birth or soon after. Several times medical staff suggested an abortion. Stuart, the father and also youth minister at Gymea Anglican church, Sydney, was in a situation that many could see as far from blessed.

A Consistent Approach to Health

Exercise doesn’t have to be serious. We don’t need to be a marathon runner to engage in exercise sufficient to benefit our wellbeing. General exercise can include such simple activities as gardening, walking or cycling, taking the stairs and housework.

Waking Up to the Sabbath

God created one day for one religion. The confusion existing in today’s world abounds because humankind thinks they can do better than God. But look at the result.

A Long Road of Discovery

“Life seemed good but there was just one thing—I didn’t know God. For years I’d lived quite comfortably without Him until I raised my eyes to the stars in a great thirst for Him. He responded, setting my feet on the road to discovery.”

Eden Around the Corner

Eden portrays something before original sin. In it we see original blessing, which is the real purpose of God for this world and life of ours. In the first six days of Creation, portrayed in Genesis 1:3-25, God is rolling out the red carpet in readiness for humankind, the crowning act of His creation.

Know Your Health Risks

A list of the common, but preventable diseases that your GP may test for. Included also are some strategies that may help prevent them occurring.

Facing a Brighter Future

A small donation, combined with great human effort, can make a difference you wouldn’t believe.

Victoria’s Secret

Vrrrreeeeeeeeem! It spun me round and round like bush-dancing with Godzilla. I switched off, unwound tightening garrottes of power cord from my body, and grinned at the cackling Victoria five metres away.
